Various stages of my “Secrets” piece as I painted it. Originally I was going for just the pencil sketch, then a very loose and sketchy grayscale shading, which turned into something more defined with emphasis on contrast. His expression kept changing as I went, too. Not sure which stage I really ended up liking more…. ^__^;
