“Through crimson stars and silent stars and tumbling nebulas like oceans set on fire; through empires of glass and civilizations of pure thought, and a whole, terrible, wonderful universe of impossibilities.” -The Doctor
This painting has been stewing around in my head for quite a while now, originally prompted when DorothyTRose read me a beautiful passage from the book “The Coming of the Terraphiles,” in which Amy and Eleven weather a time storm and are swept about by multi-colored time winds. My muse didn’t agree with the somber mood of that event, however, and decided to take things in a completely different and more symbolic direction, seeking to capture instead the excitement and wonder and trepidation of Amy’s beginning travels with the Doctor. I have never had more fun painting Eleven’s hair in my life. Swoooooooosh~ :D

“Space and time, time and space — locked in an intricate dance across the cosmos — and if you know the tune, anything is possible.”
